Ok so to start of things, the Karnataka Government is introducing a blanket ban on mobile phone for children under 16. It might be good, but equally it is bad too. In today’s world children have to travel quiet a bit to reach their school, and most of them time both the parents are working. It is always good that children be allowed to carry a mobile phone. They will be able to call up their parents if there is an emergency they can always call them, this makes the parents to have a worry free environment at the office. On the negative side, children do tend to use the mobile on hours to an end, this can cause hearing loss. And then there are the MMS clips that have been doing the rounds. Children are often not mature enough to understand what’s right and not. The best solution to the problem would be to get them a low end mobile that can make calls, and send messages. Along with that allot a calling allowance. This way children will learn how to manage money too. It is a win win situation for both sides. Instead out government wants to introduce a blanket ban, where in if children below 16 are found using a mobile phone the cops would have complete authority to go ahead and confiscate the handset and fine them for using a cellphone. In todays hi tech ordern era this is really dumb to do. If you would like to read more on this issue, check out this link

I have finished up my internal exams at college this week, All subjects went well except math, again this time it was totally my mistake, got a formula confused. Anyway it happens, The best one i think was the C Programming Lab, My friend Aashish and me were pretty confident we were going to score high, and it did happen. I was given a simple Fibonacci series program and a program to add and subtract two user inputed matrices. Easy programs, completed all the writing and executing work in 45 mins. Total score you ask? i got a 40 on 40. So did Aashish, there was nothing much to cut in our papers. it was correct upto the last dot. In other things some really funny questions were asked during the viva round of the Digital Electronics Lab, a student was asked this question “What is the difference between our college gate and a Logic Gate”, the student was really stunned the hear this. It was funny and good.
After the internal exam, we were headed out the college, when we met The HOD of Computer Applications, a really nice person, she values every thing students say, and this is one teacher who gets our suggestions implemented in a matter of hours. So we were just causally speaking about the exams and how the classes were, when the issue about web based programming popped up. All the students in my college as well as other colleges think only about application development, Very few of them into web based development. So my HOD asked me to give a seminar on Web Based development to all the Teachers of the computer application dept. man am i honored or what. Just think about it, how many students would get a chance to teach their teachers. It’s really a privilege to do so. And i am looking forward to it too.
And again the weekend bow’s down on us, after a week of exams, work pressure and not feeling well, i would rather just chill out a coffee shop, catch up with a few of my friends have good time come back home and relax. yup that’s what i am going to do. So that’s it from me for now. Chow ~ Peace ~
